Nashville based recording artist and producer, ZiL, brings a unique take on Christian Hip-Hop music. Born and raised in Rochester, NY, his music is heavily influenced by the Jazz and Gospel styles from the Northeast as well as well known artists such as Da T.R.U.T.H., BrvndonP, Jon Keith and many others. His lyrics are filled with hope and inspiration for his generation and the next. 

 

Self taught in piano at a young age ZiL grew up playing in church and started rapping at the age of 13. Eventually he began making beats at the age of 19 and since obtaining a degree in Audio Engineering Technology he began also recording and engineering his own work.

 

ZiL currently has three studio projects up on all platforms; O.R.E.O., Freshman, and The Victory Project, and is only planning on digging deeper. Since his relocation he’s been able to meet and work with artists in many different genres, and as a result his sound continues to evolve and take on new life in every track. 

 

All of his music is crafted with the intent to encourage all listeners, but ultimately his purpose is to spread the love of Jesus Christ through every track. His upcoming release #W2MW will explore some of the more difficult parts of his Christian walk and through it seeks healing not only for his self, but also everyone that gets ahold of the record.
